Estimating snow load and wind variations using Eurocodes

Reading your project description, it occurred to me that a lot of the fundamental analysis that you are proposing could be replaced with the use of appropriate building codes. Estimating snow and wind loads can typically be done using Eurocodes. Whilst these might not be appropriate for everywhere in the world, it might be easier to find a few countries that represented climate extremes, and then investigate what building standards they operate to. It also occurred to me that because of the simplicity of the geometry of the hexayurt, it should be possible to analyse its structural behaviour by hand rather than developing a finite element model.
